Marek Szczepaniak aka MarkQ aka RealOrange is a techno, tech-house and drum & bass DJ born and raised in Brzeg, Poland, but now based in Bergen, Norway. He carries with him strong UK influences in his DJing style. To his local fan base, MarkQ can play to a diverse crowd and lead you to believe that the genre he is playing at that moment is his passion. However, he moves effortlessly from techno to drum&bass and perhaps a bit of funky house from time to time, – just not in the same night.

MarkQ is Sista Låten’s original resident and has played countless parties alongside the likes of Reset Robot (Drumcode), Ida Nerbø, Christian Tilt, Thomas Urv, and many more. MarkQ has been involved with several of his own projects as of late, ranging from the darker techno side to his drum and bass project with fellow Sista Låten member, Karl Bird, Drum and Bass Society. Here they have brought in local heroes as well as international star, Foreign Concept. On the techno side, he is inviting international DJs to join him on his Art of Techno project, which he has played alongside I-Rec amongst others. Marek has been fortunate to have been invited internationally to play with Overload Records in Slovenia as well as locally based Ploink records.
